Before you apply for accreditation, you will need copies of the following
documents to apply for Restaurant Accreditation:
- Certified Professional Restaurateur Certificate
- Notification of your / your companies Australian Business
number (a copy of the entry downloaded from www.abr.gov.au will suffice).
- Certificate of Registration of Business Name.
- Certificates of currency for Workers Compensation & Public Liability
Insurance (minimum $10million)
- If you are licensed, your liquor licence document
The Savour Australia Accredited Restaurant scheme involves the following…
- Individuals make an
application to achieve status as a Certified Professional Restaurateur
(CPR).
- If training and assessment
has been achieved, the applicant will provide copies of Certificates/ Statements
of Attainment. These will be verified by State Restaurant & Catering
Associations and certification granted.
- If training and assessment
is required in some, or all of the competencies, the applicant will either be:
- Assessed and/or
- Sent the full training
program for completion (which can be completed in their own time and will take
approximately 20 hours). Once completed, the applicant will then be assessed by
an RTO.
- Once all competencies have
been achieved, certification will be granted.
Restaurant businesses will make an application to achieve status as an
Accredited Restaurant providing proof of CPR and of legal compliance.
Accreditation ranges in price from $65 to $245. It costs $65 for certification and $125 for accreditation.
A typical application takes about 60 minutes. At any stage you can stop the
application, save your work and exit. You can resume and continue at a later
stage.

An accreditation application takes approximately 15 Working Days (Mon-Fri) to approve, however this is dependent on the availability of the approval panel.
